Almost a week down on ticket sales and the phones have been ringing off the hook. Herb Alpert is sold out, and shows such as In The Mood, and Phoenix Symphony are well on their way to joining the club. I myself about lost my brains during the first day, but hey everything simmered down so no complaints when we are selling tickets. Only one week left until general ticket sales begin. Shows are selling out fast so make sure you have some ideas on what you want and call in as quickly as possible. July is nearing it's end, and ticket sales for the general public are right around the corner. Call in and give us a call here at the box office, find out what seating is available, buy tickets, or just entertain us for a while with some conversation. Also don't forget to check our Facebook, MySpace and Twitter where we post other updates to keep everyone informed on new happenings. also for all those students 18 and under roaming around out there, tickets are $5.

Well,
A lot has happened since our last blog! The Webb Center has made some changes to the website including adding our dates for next season as well as adding a few new pages to the site as well. We now have established what we call the "Legacy Society" which is fully explained at www.delewebbcenter.org under the Support the Center tab. Also, we have added a page featuring the Flying E Ranch Residency Program located underneath the About the Center tab.

Camp registration is over and we are full! Thanks to all who came to sign up! Don't forget that camp starts June 1st at 8:15am! We'll see all the kids then! Until next time!

Camp Imagination Registration: Day One

Thanks to all that came out yesterday to register for Camp! We had 71 kids sign up and already have had one more sign up today! Once we reach a total of 120 kids, we will no longer have any spots open so hurry and get registered!

Camp Imagination 2009!

Its time once again for Camp Imagination! Registration will begin on Monday, May 4 with an open-enrollment event at the Webb Center from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Registration materials are available online at The Webb Center Online or at the Webb Center Box Office (2nd Floor Meridian Bank). Registration will continue until either the maximum of 120 students or Friday, May 22 is reached.

Camp Imagination is an annual summer arts camp produced by the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts. Campers entering first through twelfth grades enjoy workshops in a variety of performing arts areas, including drama, vocal, and dance, as well as specialty fields such as television production and technical theater. The Webb Center will once again collaborate with the Desert Caballeros Western Museum to offer visual arts classes through the Young Rembrandts program.

All students participate in the creation of a musical; this years selection is Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. – a stage version of the popular 1970s cartoons. Campers entering fifth grade or higher are invited to audition for main roles on Friday, May 15 at 1:00pm or Saturday, May 16 at 9:00am. Auditions will be held in the Wickenburg High School choir classroom, located directly next to the Webb Center. To audition, students are requested to prepare a short monologue and a song.

Camp will run from June 1-12 and the cost for this ten day camp is $85 for the first student in the family and $65 for each additional sibling. Scholarships are available at many levels for any camper that would like to participate and might need a bit of financial assistance.

The culminating event for Camp Imagination will be a public performance of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. on the final evening, June 12 beginning at 6:30 pm at the Webb Center
